Alex Gopal is a young actor working in New Mexico. He is of a very diverse ethnic background which includes Mexican (Tarasco Indian), East Indian, and East European.
Alex has trained since 2010 (age 6) in a variety of areas including: story theater, acting in film and stage, modeling, improv, Tae Kwon Do, and hip hop. Alex has trained in acting with the late great Basil Hoffman and continues to train with acclaimed kids acting coach Stephen Burhoe (who himself was mentored by the late great- Jeff Corey). Acting experience includes film/tv (Blackmail, The Night Shift, In Plain Sight, & Stanistan) and commercials (Toyota, HeadingHome.org, and El Paso Chihuahuas). More recently he will be seen in the horror films Captive and Demo. He has also worked in theater (Just a Little Wicked, Wizard of Oz, Honk Jr. & Peggy the Pint-Sized Pirate).
Alex also enjoys modeling for both print and runway (Fredrick’s Flower a Novel by Ron Ray Harrison, Patricia Richards 2019 Resort collection Runway show, Ivan Rodriquez 2019 Fashion Show). He most recently volunteered to walk for Orlando Dugi debuting his 2022 Men’s Collection at the Southwestern Association for Indigenous Arts 2022 Indigenous Fashion Show in Santa Fe, NM.
Alex LOVES to travel and states his favorite place is Italy, especially Pompeii. He is an avid sports fan, rooting for all Chicago sports teams especially the Chicago Blackhawks. Alex’s favorite sport is ice hockey and he personally plays goalie for the NMIceWolves hockey AA travel team as well as the Albuquerque Bears High School Varsity team. He’s very athletic and is quite knowledgeable in sports trivia.
